From Process to Image

Facilitators guide participants through a process that involves reading, research, content searches, and setting artmaking goals. The participants develop material samples, sketches, and models to formulate their ideas and to discuss their intentions, content, work mode, media and format plans with the group. Successful art derives in part from sharing experiences and art intentions; and from consideration of the questions and comments that arise from the group and facilitator before creating artwork. The role of the facilitator changes at the artmaking stage to help participants translate process to image.
